Kay Burton....mail order catalogue

The wonderful miniature artist Kay Burton has produced many wonderful paintings and miniature items for the dollshouse enthusiast, and now to showcase those items has produced a mail order catalogue......

" I have been very busy working on a mail order catalogue, something that I have had many requests for over the years, but never got around to making. It is a full colour 64 page booklet packed with paintings that can be commissioned, framed prints, print sheets and posters of my past paintings and lots of miniature picture frames that can all be ordered. I have included a gallery of past paintings as well, to give a flavour of the possibilities that are on offer. I hope that I have included items to suit all pockets and tastes.
Please visit my website for details."

Kay we wish you all the best with this new approach.

New Miniature....Girl with a pearl earing

Dollshouse Painting By Dan Worgan

Girl with a pearl earing...

I love this piece so thought i would give it a go.This piece measures 1.75 " (inch) x 1.25" (inch).Normally in 1/12th scale but this will go into 1/24th scale dollshouse.

I used winsor and newton artists acrylic paint for this, these quality paints really do make a differance to the overall finish of a piece.

The surface used for the painting was a canvas effect art card. Now previuosly i have enjoyed painting on this surface, but it did take a mighty effort to get it right this time.I shall in future be reverting back to a smooth art card for my paintings,at least i know that fine details can be achieved with no flow restrictions.

This painting is being stored for an up coming show later in the year....

I do undertake commissions,as many have asked,so whatever your requirements then please contact me and i will get back to you.

Prices for my artwork start at £25...which includes framing and postage.

Thanks Dan Worgan

Framing In Miniature

One of the hardest parts to finishing your piece of art for your dollshouse is the framing.
You may make your own,you may decide to buy resin or plaster imports, but most collectors realise that to show your miniature painting for your dollshouse off to its best potential then a quality handmade frame is the way to go.....PERFECT FRAMES BY BILLEN IS THE WAY TO GO.
Melissa Kuettner took over the already thriving business from her grandparents in 2005.

In her own words "I value the quality and craftsmanship my grandparents put into every item they made and will continue to provide the very best in miniature frames and accessories."

Take a look at her website, and get those perfect frames for your perfect paintings.
